Abstract
Cancer continues to represent the largest and second leading cause of death worldwide next to cardiovascular disease. Cancer is characterized by uncontrolled cellular growth, local tissue invasion and distant metastasis. Free radicals are one of the major causes for the conversion of normal cell to cancerous cells. Overproduction of free radical and reactive oxygen species (ROS) would assault on important biological molecules such as DNA, protein or lipid to many degenerative disease, such as cancer. Natural productsmaintain the health and vitality of individuals and can cure various diseases, including cancer without causing toxicity as chemotherapeutic drugs. Nowadays, there is a great interest to use natural products to block the development of cancer and to decrease the dose and toxicity of chemotherapeutic drugs.
