Abstract

Ministry of Health and Population MOHP (2009) in Egypt did rank unmet needs of family planning as one of the leading causes to maternal mortality. Nowadays, one of the methods to increase quality of family planning services and decrease maternal mortality and morbidity rate is by compliance with clients’ rights guidelines. This guideline includes eight dimensions. Namely: clients’ rights to get information, easily access the services, practice informed choice, have privacy and confidentiality, dignity, be respected, continuity of services and have safe services. Family planning nurses’ hold in their hands more responsibilities for preserving those rights to their clients. However, there are some factors associated with their compliance level.
Aim of the study
The present study aimed to assess nurse’s compliance with client’s rights guidelines at family planning clinics in Kafr EL Sheikh.
Research design:
A descriptive exploratory design was utilized.
Setting:
Data was collected from 146 family planning clinics in Kafr El- Sheikh Governorate. These clinics were chosen through the multistage probability sampling technique from the available (279) family planning clinics in the governorate.
a) Kafr EL-Sheihk district (40 clincs)
b) Quelen district (20 clinics)
c) Desouk district (38 clinics)
d) EL-Reyad district (24 clinics)
e) Beyla district (24 clinics)
Subjects:
A convince sample of all nurses working at the abovely mentioned 146 family planning clinics, (totally 230 nurse) constituted the study subjects.
