Abstract The Obesity is fat accumulation in adipose tissue in abnormal or excessive manner which leads to health impairments[1]. There are many different methods for obesity measurements and estimation such as body mass index (BMI), waist-hip ratio, skin fold, waist circumference and percent body fat measurements[2]. The most common method is <BMI[1]. Body mass index (BMI) is the weight in kilograms divided by the square of the height in meters (kg/m2)[2]. According to WHO, normal people have a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9[2]. Furthermore, overweight people have a BMI equal to or more than 25[2]. Moreover, obese people have a BMI equal to or more than 30[2]. WHO classified obesity into three classes according to BMI[2]. The BMI in class one, two and three are (30-34.9), (35-39.9) and more than 40, respectively[2]. Unfortunately, the percentage of overweighed population and obesity significantly increased in the last few years worldwide[3]. Furthermore, 30% of population (2.1 billion) were obese or overweight among 180 different countries around the world on 2013 as shown in Figure 1[4, 5]. The percentage of obesity among women and men are markedly increased from 30% to 38% and from 29% to 37%, respectively during 1980-2013[4, 5]. Moreover, the numbers of obese or overweight and severely obese adult were 2 billion and 98 million, respectively, on 2014 worldwide[6]. It was reported by FDA that the <percentage of obese women was greater than men in different countries around the world on 2014[7]. |
