Abstract Diabetic macular edema is a common and a very important cause for visual morbidity in diabetic patients. It is also one of the leading causes of preventable blindness in the world, as stated by the WHO. The aim of the work is to study prognostic spectral domain optical coherence tomography parameters in diabetic cystoid macular edema after anti–vascular endothelial growth factor therapy (Bevacizumab). This study was carried out on forty eyes of 26 patients (14 with bilateral and 12 unilateral) with diabetic cystoid macular edema with central retinal thickness more than 350 microns. All patients were from those attending Tanta ophthalmology university hospital and Tanta ophthalmology hospital from September to March. |
