Abstract

The aim of the present study was to assess effect of 4 % articaine infiltration versus 2 % lidocaine nerve block after premedication by ibuprofen on the anesthetic efficacy in endodontic treatment of mandibular first molars diagnosed with irreversible pulpitis in a randomized clinical trial.
The null hypothesis was that there would be no difference in anesthetic efficacy of 4 % articaine and 2 % lidocaine after premedication with ibuprofen in the first permanent molar with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis.
