Abstract

The present study was carried out to evaluate the effect of BMD, and it is combination with doxycycline, or diclazuril on the performance (Feed intake, Body weight, weight gain and Feed conversion ratio), some hematological and biochemical parameters of broilers. In addition, the histopathological examination of tissue specimens (duodenum, liver and kidney) from the treated broilers was performed. The drugs used BMD: at (4.4mg/L) on drinking water for 42 day.Doxycycline: (1 g/L) on drinking water for 6 days. Diclazuril: (.8 ml/L) on drinking water for 42 days. 1st group: received basal diet free from any additives or treatments (control). 2nd group: chickens are received the therapeutic dose of BMD (4.4mg/L) for 42 days old. 3rdgroup: chickens are received the therapeutic dose of BMD (4.4mg/L) for 42 days old and the therapeutic dose of doxycycline (1 g/L) for only 6 days. 4thgroup: chickens are received the therapeutic dose of BMD (4.4mg/L) for 42 days old and the therapeutic dose of diclazuril (.8 ml/L) for 42 days. 5thgroup: chickens are received the therapeutic dose of BMD (4.4mg/L) for 42 days old, the therapeutic dose of doxycycline (1 g/L) for only 6 days and the therapeutic dose of diclazuril (.8 ml/L) for 42 days. Effect on RBCs, Hb and PCV count:At the end of our result there were no any significant changes noticed in erythrocytic count in G2 (BMD) and G3 (doxycycline + BMD), compared with the control group Effect on kidney enzymes:In the present study it was reported that BMD have a significant increase on creatinine and no significant effect on uric acid, while Doxycycline showed a significant decrease on uric acid one week, and two weeks post dosing and no significant effect on creatinine. The treated group with diclazuril didn’t have any effect on creatinine and uric acid. Biochemical determination:The results of this study found that inoculation of doxycycline revealed a significant increase in serum level of ALT after one day, one week and two weeks, also a significant increase in serum level of AST after two weeks of infection. On the other hand, the treated group with diclazuril and BMD revealed no significant changes toward the control level. Effect on serum total protein and albumin: Liver is responsible for the production of plasma protein. In this study, BMD, doxycycline, and diclazuril have no significant changes on total protein, albumin and globulin. Effects on histopathological examination: Microscopic examination of liver, kidney, and duodenum on G2 (BMD) the liver showing large focal lymphocytic aggregation in hepatic parenchyma. While, kidney showing focal calcification in a renal tubule, and duodenum showing focal lymphocytic aggregation deeply in mucosa. At G3 (BMD+ doxycycline) showing biliary epithelium hyperplasia, fibrous tissue proliferation and focal lymphocytic aggregation in portal area (on liver) While showing focal interstitial lymphocytic aggregation (on kidney), and focal lymphocytic aggregation deeply in mucosa (on duodenum). Also in G4 (BMD+ diclazuril) the liver showing diffuse vascular degeneration in hepatocytes. And the kidney showed marked atrophy in renal glomeruli and hydropic degeneration in renal tubules. Also there was normal villi, lamina propria and muscular coat on dudenum. And in G5 (BMD +doxycycline + diclazuril) there was a mild congestion with slightly dilated hepatic sinusoids on liver, also on kidney a normal glomeruli and renal tubules. there was normal villi, lamina propria and muscular coat on dudenum. Conclusion We concluded that combination of BMD, doxycycline and diclazuril, improved the broiler performance, with some transient changes in serum biochemical and heamatological parameters.
