Abstract
Arrhythmias : irregular heartbeat is the rhythm of your heart rhythm disorder, caused by changes in the electrical system of your heart. Tachycardia can reduce the heart’s ability to pump, causing shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness or loss of consciousness. If Sever, it can also cause heart attacks or death The role of nursing in the intensive care unit of the heart that are continuous monitoring of ECG to avoid complications, and that the nurse is able to recognize be irregular heartbeat and how to read the ECG. So is educating nurses for arrhythmia in cases of congestive heart failure, and how to identify the different types of cardiac arrhythmia, and medicines appropriate for each type (including side effects of these medications), and the importance of preserving therapy anything necessary to improve the nurse unit information heart care. The aim of the study. The aim of this the study will to investigate the impact of educational program on nurses knowledge and practices about arrhythmias on patient’s with congestive heart failure coronary care unit. Subject and methods Quasi -experimental research designee with one group study pre-test and post-test approach was used to evaluate the impact of education program on nurses knowledge and practices about arrhythmias of congestive heart failure .This study was carried out in coronary care unit at Abu teeg central hospital. Subject of the study consisted of convenient sample of the study the number of the nurses in the CCU And cardiac in medical department 30 nurses at Abu Tag hospital. To accomplish the aim of the current study , two tools were used for data collection, Tool one ,nurses’ knowledge questionnaire sheet; ( Pretest-posttest)This tool developed in Arabic by researcher after reviewing literatures .Tool two observation check list for nurses practice; Technique for data collection; This study will be carried out in two phase; Preparatory phase; A review of current and past, local and international related to literature in the various aspects of the problems using books, articles ,periodical magazines, and websites will be don power point, video. Once permission will be granted to proceed with the proposed study ,the researcher initiated data collection. The head nurse of hospital department who help the researcher to accomplish this work. The proposed study setting will be assessed for the number of the nurses in the hospital departments, this end by a pilot study. Pilot study ; A pilot study will be carried out for testing the feasibility and practicability of the study tools.-Pilot study was conducted on random sample of 6 nurses and the necessary modifications that were don. The tool were for content related to content clarity ,and validity by a jury of five expertises in field of critical care nursing and critical care medicine ,internal consistency of knowledge and practices. Implementation phase; Data collected will be atAbou Tag central hospital interview questionnaire sheet, filled through interviewing the purpose of the study will be explained, to the nurses prior to answering the questions.an observational cheek list will be carried out will the nurse are once the patient admission’s with arrhythmias on congestive heart failure.
