Abstract

The chemistry of pyrimidines is a blossoming field for the study of
their pharmacological uses.
Numerous methods for the synthesis of pyrimidine as also their
diverse reactions offer enormous scope in the field of medicinal
chemistry.
The utility of pyrimidines as synthon for various biologically active
compounds has given impetus to these studies.
The review article aims to review the work reported the recent
work on the anticancer synthetic pyrimidine compound and the chemistry
and biological activities of pyrimidines during past year.
Alkylated 2-methylsulfanyl uracils 117-124 were prepared and
tested for:
1. Antitumor Activity
2. Hepatitis B Virus
3. Antimicrobial Activity.
