Abstract

It is fascinating to think about The relationship between nature and architecture and try to fill the gaps between them. Each of them can support, erode, filter or even sculpt the other. It is important that we build with our environment and not against it. The usage of forming principles of wild life got the new quality and received a name of architectural and bionic process and became one of the trends of architecture in the world architectural practice for the last 40 years. Bionics is an innovative architectural style that took all the best from nature, relief outlines and forms. It can be called architecture of future and its aim is synthesis of nature and modern technologies. In This research we will briefly explain the interaction between nature and architecture and introduces the principles of bionic architectural design and construction systems, which still interact in continuation to achieve the principals of beauty, efficiency and movement with each others and there are two exerted styles which Designers use them to imitate the natural forms. One of its style is the goal of designer for imitating the external appearance of natural forms so the building will just reflect the appeared beauty of the surrounding environment. the other style is that the designer is inspired to create new design by some process which formed the natural figures. Finally this research emphasizes the necessity of paying the architectural and structural engineers’ attention to the natural morphology to inspire them from optimum patterns so that it helps the inventive engineers become structural artists.
