Abstract
The aim of this study was:
1- To evaluate clinically and radiographically the efficacy of MTAD ( Mixture
of a doxycycline isomer, an acid and a detergent) and Propolis as root canal
irrigant in necrotic primary molars.
2- Comparing the clinical and radiographic success of partial pulpectomy using
MTAD versus Propolis irrigation.
3- Microbiological evaluation of the antibacterial effect of MTAD and Propolis
as root canal irrigating solutions in necrotic primary molars.
4- Scanning electron microscopic evaluation of the effect of MTAD and
Propolis upon the smear layer present on the root canal walls of primary
teeth.
