Abstract C omparison of Von Willebrand factor antigen (vWF-Ag) in peripheral blood samples in the 3 groups by ELISA method and found significant rise in its level in group B than group A and significant rise in group C than group B and A. There was a highly negative correlation between serum Von Willebrand factor antigen (vWF-Ag) and albumin, Hb, PLT, while it was highly positive with S.bilirubin, INR, ALT and no correlation with AST and WBCs. On the other hand, deterioration of liver function and worsening of liver laboratory parameters always accompanied with increased levels of serum (vWF-Ag). So, the conclusion is that there was a relationship between plasma levels of Von Willebrand Factor (vWF) in patients with CLD at different stages of the disease and it correlates with the severity of disease. Moreover there was obvious relationship between plasma level of vWF-Ag and HCC, this could be proved through the Rock curve with sensitivity of 96.4%, specificity of 96.6% and accuracy of 96.5% and also through the logistic regression analysis that showed that vWF had a highly statistically significance as a predictor for HCC . |
