Abstract
Head nurse demonstrates leadership skills and ability to evaluate the work of other nurses on the department. Head nurse need to be competent in delegation process and evaluation of performance and outcomes. Delegation is an essential skill, process and an art learned by nurses, managers and leaders. The effective delegation of work to others is essential in every type of health care setting and organization. It is getting work done and meeting goals through others. Also, delegation is developing trust and empowering work staff. Aim of the study was to assess head nurses’ performance regarding delegation process.
