Abstract
According to the petrographic studies, the Paleozoic studied samples were subdivided into sandstone and carbonate microfacies. Sandstone microfacies represent the Sarabit El khedim Formation, the Abu Hamata Formation, the Adedia Formation and the Abu Thora Formation, while carbonate microfacies represent the Um bogma Formation.
