Abstract In this thesis some modifications to the conventional water deslination systems using solar energy were investigated both experimentally and numerically. the work includesa simulation on the effect of baffles on improving the performance of hollow fiber membrance distillation, experimental evaluation of flat sheet direct contact membrance distillation, and an experimental investigation on a novel hybrid multi effect distillation - membrance distillation (MED-MD) systems driven by solar energy. the possibility of increasing the mass baffles was investigated numerically. a new baffles design was done CFD fluent fluxes in a hollow fiber membrance distillation module. |
