Abstract
Pediatrics and adolescents present with a broad spectrum of breast diseases which is classified into congenital anomalies, infections, trauma, endocrine disorders and neoplasm.
Biopsy is contraindicated as it may lead to significant breast deformity. So knowledge of the sonographic appearance of normal breast development and specific lesions is helpful in identifying and characterizing breast abnormalities.
US is the most valuable modality in children and adolescents due to density of breast at this age and its lack of radiation hazards.
