ABSTRACT
The current study aims to identify the current pattern followed by the Man during his utilization and investment of land in the new reclaimed villages in Upper Egypt’ to assess its environmental impacts and their implications on the quality of human life being. To conduct the field research, the geographical area had been determined in the newly reclaimed villages in Aswan governorate. And specified in Bashier El-Khair and new Kalabsha villages. The field research of the study conducted in period of the agriculture season 2013, 2014. The research sample has been selected from the local households. The social survey used as a research methodology with their data collection tools such as the structure interviews with questionnaire and direct observation. The findings of the research as following: There is unfair using of land by the Man in the new reclaimed areas during the agriculture process. He follows wrong agricultural practices such as flood irrigation method which effect on the land with deices like Nematode which decrease the level of fertility. Also, reflect negatively on the land productivity. There is un-optimal using of the land with grazing the cattle and sheep inside the farm for a long time which causing the expansion of desertification. Also, leads to a low level of productivity of the soil in the long run. Land use for the purpose of housing (150-200 m as house area), which affects on the area of land allocated originally for reclamation. There is no essential services are provided, such as veterinary and agricultural extension services, roads to transfer their agriculture crops and production which means non-optimal use of the land for the purpose of services. That current pattern of investment and land use in the new reclaimed lands has negative environmental effects and reject the Man to covering the most of their essential life needs for his family. Also, most of people not satisfied with themselves although they are accommodate in these communities for more than five years. This mean that the un-optimal use of land causing negative implications on quality of life of human being in the new reclaimed village in Upper Egypt.
