Summary: The work described in the thesis involves applying the newest and the most eecient and promising optimization algorithms to extract the optimal parameters of dierent PV solar models such as single and double diode models at all the entire levels of the environmental conditions. Moreover, detailled models such as modified double diode and three diode models are investigated to account for the physical complexity of the multi-crystalline cell/ module. The results of the proposed algorithms illustrate that these algorithms fulfill the best performance in terms of the optimal represention of the physical behavior for dirent types of PV solar modules, the least root mean squareerror between the measured and the estimated currrents, the best fitting of the I-V charactristic curves and the fastest convergence speed to the optimal solutions with the shortest execution time. |
