Abstract The aim of this study is the study of the effect of vaginal sildenafil citrate on uterine blood flow and pregnancy outcome in the first trimester of pregnancy in patients with unexplained recurrent miscarriages measured by vaginal Doppler ultrasound. This prospective case control study was conducted at Tanta University. The study included 50 women who were divided into 2 groups: (group 1) which included 40 patients who took sildenafil citrate 25 mg vaginal, twice daily in the first trimester of pregnancy, (group 2) which included 10 first trimester pregnant women with a single fetus, having at least one previous normal pregnancy, with no history of abortion, ectopic pregnancy, pre-term delivery or stillbirth) and vaginal Doppler ultrasound was done for every patients at 6th and 13th weeks of here pregnancy. Our inclusion criteria was: Age 18-30 years and <2 recurrent spontaneous abortions before the 12th week of gestation with no apparent. |
