Abstract
Understanding the pattern of anesthetic devices contamination, and the
adherence of the anaesthetist to infection control procedures to provide a better patient
care and reduce the Health care acquired infections(HAIs)
Objectives
1. To evaluate compliance of anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists with
infection control policy at university hospital.
2. To determine the efficacy of the reprocessing procedures for reusable
anesthetic equipment.
3. To determine the pattern of contamination by bacteria and fungi of
reusable anesthetic equipment.
