Summary
ADHD in general and amputation in particular present Physical and psychological problem on the individuals and on their circumference, subsequently one is left with a sequence of ideas that Generate certain suffering that arises to a state of disorder.
Medic model of the injured also affect the way of the amputees they look and think about themselves, they usually adopt negative ideas that reveal the problem they run into as the result of having an amputee bodies. The amputee person always inclines to think that his Injury may hinder their participation in the social activities, which may lead to exclude them from Events and having experiences from the social life in the society around.
Thus, we find that the physical disability ”amputation” may affect the individual personality of the disabled Psychological and social, where the idea of one’s own are not integrated or organized except through the body image There is no way to return this integration and consistency between the self and the body to its first case except by Guidance and rehabilitation and organizing of his perception towards the self-new place and helping him to benefit as much as possible from his energies and remaining abilities.
Study problem:
The current study problem can be summarized in the answer for the following question:
- What is the effectiveness span for an integrated pilot programfor the development of strategies of the positive thinking as an input to improve the quality of life for the Revolution Victims?
Study Objectives:
The current study highlights on the significance of the positive thinking as an input for the improvement of the life quality for a sample of the amputees injured in the Libyan revolution events and the effectiveness span for the integrated pilot program to raise it as follow.
Study significance:
First: Theoretical significance:
1- Lack of searches and studies that addressed the development of the positive thinking to improve the life quality for the amputee injured, in spite that of what all may affectone’s life like (disease-Mental illness- Life events-Ambition-Happiness….) etc. from the Variables that may affect the life quality which may increase the issue significance, and subsequently the study significance.
2- This study is a leading study as it handles an integrated pilot program that discusses two important issues who attracted many of the authors, attention like positive thinking as an input to improve the quality of life for the amputees as the different libraries lack for these type of studies in the pilot field studies (Within the limits of the researcher seeing.
3- Most of the Medical searches about the amputee injured shed lights on results analysis, side effects of the medicines and treatment. The amputee injured in a bad need to describe their feeling after treatment although the authors may incline to concentrate on the mental and physical effects that are easy to identify, and neglect the psychological and social aspect.
Second: Application significance:
Study may be useful by what are come out of it from results that may be useful following:
1- The use of an integrated pilot program for the development of strategies of the positive thinking as an input to improve the quality of life for the Revolution amputee Victims, which may no doubt affect positively their directions towards their families and towards the others.
2- The need to develop pilot programs to help in the development of positive thinking that may enable to take advantage of improving the quality of life for amputees or applied to other categories after the insertion of the necessary amendments on it.
Study Approach:
The current study traces the experimental curriculum to answer the determining questions for the study problem to determine the effectiveness of this pilotProgram, the used designation is the ”post-pre-Follow-up” sample test based on two equals groups(experimental, Control).
There was parity between the two groups in terms in terms of chronological age and socio-economic level and low level of positive thinking and the quality improve of low level.
Study sample:
Study sample consisted of (20) cases from the amputees injured in the events of the Libyan revolution 2011, as they were divided into (10) cases for the experimental group and (10) cases for the control group.
Study tools:
To achieve the objectives of the current study and for verification of its hypotheses, the researcher used the following tools:
- Form of the Educational, social and economic level. (Prepared by the researcher).
- Positive Thinking scale(Prepared by the researcher).
- An integrated pilot program (Prepared by the researcher).
Statistical methods used:
Researcher identified herself by using descriptive, evidentiary, statistical methods by the assistance of statistical package for social sciences program Spss20 and those methods are:
- The Spearman rank correlation coefficient.
- Cronbach’salpha coefficient.
- Wilkinson test.
- Mann-Whitney test.
Results:
- There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores membersranks of the experimental group in the two measurements (pre and post) tests in each dimension of the positive thinking dimensions and the total score of the scale of the scale in the favor of the post test.
- No statistically significant difference between the averages scores membersranks of the experimental group in each of the scales (dimensional and iterative) in each dimension of the positive thinking scale dimensions of life quality improvement and the total score of the scale.
- There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores membersranks of the experimental group in each of the (pre and post) tests in each dimension of improve the quality of life scale and the total score of the scale in favor of posttest scale..
- No statistically significant difference between the average scores rank members of the experimental group in each of the measurement (post and iterative) tests in each dimension of scale of improving the quality of life dimensions and the total score of the scale.
- There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores members ranks of the control group and the ranks of the experimental group in each of the scales (pre and post) tests in each dimension of the positive thinking dimensions and the total score of the scale in favor of the experimental group scale.
- There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores members ranks of the control group and the ranks of the experimental group in each of the (pre and Post) tests in each dimension of scale of improving the quality of life scale dimensions and the total score of the scale in favor of the experimental group.
- There is statistically significant correlative relationship between the scores of the experimental group in the positive thinking scale and the scores of the group in the scale of improvingthe quality of life.
