Abstract Chlamydia pneumoniac has been shown to be an important caw;e of respiratory tract infections incl uding pharyngitis, sinusitis, about 5% of bronchitis and 10-15% of comm1111ity acquired pnewnonia. C. pneumoniae infection has also been associated with asthma,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (C’OPD) and lung cancer, as well as diseases of the c;ardiovascular system. The present study aimed to detect pneltmoniae antigen patients with acuterespiratory trat infections by direct immunofluorescence. |
