Abstract
Survey and analysis for intakes of some DWTPs at river Nile
indicated normal conditions for physico-chemical and organic parameters
as well as biological and microbiological examinations. Treatment steps in
DWTP were studied. Pre-chlorination and sedimentation step has the
highest removal efficiency. Chlorine was produced through electrolysis of
chloride present in water. The produced water meets the Egyptian standard
limits according to Ministerial Decree 458 / 2007.
