Abstract
Both TVT and TOT are effective procedures for treatment of SUI. Both can be applied to patients having combined cystocele and SUI where concomitant colporrhaphy can be done after sling fixation in either group. When compared to each other, it seemed that TOT might be inferior to TVT in terms of efficacy. However, a larger smaple size is needed to draw a final conclusion. In our study after long term follow up of patients with stress urinary incontinence with mean follow up 8.59 years (range 5-15 ), assessing all patints through full history, clinical examinations, stress test, pad test, UDI-6 and IIQ-7 as well as long term adverse events, we found that autologous fascia sling, TOT and TVT procedures have comparable efficacy in treating SUI. Cure is inferior based on pad test than that assessed by stress test. No long term adverse events were noticed from 5 years onwords, as reported by patients at last follow up.
