Abstract

This study tried to produce solution to the main problems faced by all in one dental adhesive both experimentally and clinically, via synthesis of bifunctional nanofiller (bioactive and antibacterial) to be incorporated in this type of adhesives. Such nanofiller was synthesized via adsorption of Polyethylenimine antibacterial polymer onto the surface of nano HAP particles which previously synthesized by Hydrothermal technique, further Quaterisation was performed and the resulting powder was examined for cristallinity using XRD, and chemical groups using FTIR, also the size and morphology were analyzed using TEM. Colloidal stability measurements, after incorporation into experimentally prepared adhesive, were done by Zeta seizer and Spectrophotometer for sedimentation rate. Overall, FTIR, TEM, X-ray diffraction, and zeta potential measurement confirmed successful surface modification of Nano hydroxyapatite particles with PEI polymer.
