Abstract
This study was presented to provide a basis for normal dimensions of the paranasal sinuses during development using multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT) by volumetric procedures At the previous studies with CT scans, authors tried to calculate the volumes of the paranasal sinus by drawing the inner margin of the sinus from serial sections obtained by two-dimensional CT imaging Because the determination of the circumference was based on the evaluation of CT images with eyes of examiner, inaccurate evaluation of the sinus lining eventually affected measurement of the volume, while at this study we measure the diameter of the sinus in three axis then volume calculated using ellipsoid volume.
