Abstract
Some novel N-thiocarbamoyl pyrazoles IIa-d, 2-(4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-1,6-dihydro pyrimidine-5-carbonitrile derivatives IXa-p and 3,4-dihydro pyrimidine-2(1H)-thiones IIIa-d were synthesized in this thesis starting from ,-unsaturated ketones incorporating naphthalene moiety via reaction with thiosemicarbazide, 2-hydrazinopyrimidin-4(3H)-one derivatives and thiourea respectively (schemes 1,3). N-Thiocarbamoyl pyrazole derivatives used as key intermediate for the synthesis of some new 2-pyrazolylthiazoles IVa-p and 2-pyrazolylthiazol-4(5H)-ones Va-c via cyclization using either phenacyl bromide derivatives or ethyl bromo-acetate respectively (scheme 2).
