Abstract

Governance can be defined as the systems and processes concerned with ensuring the overall direction, supervision and accountability of an organization. It is also a transparent decision-making process in which the leadership of a nonprofit organization, in an effective and accountable way, directs resources and exercises power on the basis of shared values. The general objective of the study was to investigate the impact of corporate governance practices on the organizational effectiveness of NGOs in Palestine, a survey of NGOs in Gaza strip, The study narrowed its undertakings into; board good governance aspects, and NGOs organizational effectiveness perspectives, Literature review looked into theories surrounding corporate governance and conceptualization of the following factors: roles and responsibilities of the board, balance scorecard methodology to address and measure the organizational effectiveness, and the causality level of the Impact of corporate governance on the organizational effectiveness.
