Abstract

One of the primary objectives of this work is to improve the functionality of different multiferroic materials. Understanding the physical properties such as structural, optical, electrical and magnetic properties of the material which can be used for sensors and actuators applications. Studying the effect of Nd-YAG laser beam treatment in the surface morphology of these materials. For achieving these aims, the following objectives have been done;Multiferroic materials Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 and CoFe2O4 were firstly prepared in the form of thin film using two methods (CSD and PLD) and then studied. Extensive work involving coupling between the ferroelectric and the ferromagnetic and study the effect of laser treatment of laser beam in these materials was carried out to understand structural, optical, electrical and magnetic properties of polycrystalline PZT and CFO composite thin film. These films were then characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), UV-Visible Spectrometer Vibrating sample Magnometer (VSM) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)- The multifferroic devices have many industrial applications which have magnetic and electric properties at the same device such as sensors, and actuators.
