Abstract Aggressive behaviors in school-age children are very common. Childhood aggression leading to a significant risk for continued behavior problems and other social and emotional challenges throughout their life time. Parenting counseling improve parenting skills and reduce aggressive behaviors in children through promote children’s social competence. A-The aims of this study were:- To develop, implement and evaluate the effect of parents’ counseling sessions on modifying the aggressive behavior of their school age children. B- Hypotheses It was hypothesized that behavior modification counseling sessions will effectively reduce aggressive behavior of children. C- Design The study used a quasi-experimental design. D- Settings: The study was conducted at El Nasr primary school (governmental school) at Serce El lian city in Menoufia governorate. E-Sample:- A purposive sample of 60 children and their parents was selected. A simple random sample was used to divide them into two groups. Parents in study group I received counseling sessions and parents in study group II received no sessions. |
