Abstract

Aging is considered as a biological process characterized by a progressive deterioration in physiological functions and metabolic processes that drive to morbidity and mortality. In agreement with the free radical theory of aging, reactive oxygen species (ROS), generated as byproducts of biological oxidations, induce casual and cumulative oxidative damage to macromolecules inducing to cellular dysfunction with age and eventually cell death. Older women die of the disorders that afflict cancer, cardiovascular disease, and accidental injuries-older women are more likely to be afflicted with one or more chronic conditions that can often cause limitations in their lifestyles. These include diabetes, arthritis, or hypertension Osteoporosis
Nutrition affects the maintenance of physiological and biological process of aging, also, the risk of development of acute and chronic diseases. Tomato is known to contain excellent source of health-promoting compounds due to the balanced mixture of minerals and antioxidants, including vitamins C and E, lycopene, B-carotene, flavonoids and phenolic acids. This study aimed to know the effect of tomato juice and tomato pomace on health of old female rats.
Thirty five old female albino rats weighing 300±5 g and five female albino rats weighing 120±5g were used in the present study. All rats were fed on the basal diet for a week for adaptation, then the rats were divided into two main group:
The first main group (n = 5): rats, were fed on the basal diet only as control negative (Normal female rats).

SUMMARY
The second main group (n = 35): (old female rats) were high weight and were divided randomly into seven subgroups (n = 5) according to the following scheme:
• Subgroup (1): served as a control positive, received a basal diet.
• Subgroup (2): received basal diet +3 ml of tomato jucie through atube directly up to the stomach.
• Subgroup (3): received basal diet + 6 ml of tomato jucie through atube directly up to the stomach.
• Subgroup (4): received basal diet + 12ml of tomato jucie through atube directly up to the stomach.
• Subgroup (5): received basal diet + 2.5% dried tomato pomace .
• Subgroup (6): received basal diet + 5% dried tomato pomace.
• Subgroup (7): received basal diet + 10% dried tomato pomace .
During the experimental period (28) day animal sacrificed and internal organ weight (liver ,kidney, Heart ,Spleen)were recorded .Also blood and serum samples were collected to determine liver function, kidney function ,antioxidant prameters and lipids profile in serum.
The obtained results can be summarized as follow:
1. It was found that (tomato juice, tomato pomace )contained 84.27%,20.18% moisture ,0.07%,0.18% protein,0.25%,11.33% fat ,5.36%,48.82% fiber ,0.53%,4.71% ash and 9.52%,14.78% carbohydrate respectively.
2. It observed that tomato juice contains 0.70 mg / 100 ml of lycopene.
3. It found that the tomato pomace contains 81.27 mg / 100 ml. Also, beta-carotene intake remnants of tomatoes high compared with tomato juice.
4. It found that the content of the juice Tatm of antioxidants was 73.1%, while the content of the tomato pomace of antioxidants 41.25%.

SUMMARY
5. The highest percentage of phenols and flavonoids found in tomato pomace was attributed 6.40 mg and 32.mg respectively.
6. It observed that the percentage of phenols 50. Mg and the percentage of flavonoids 01.mg when dealing with 12 ml of tomato juice.
7. weights of internal organs of mice are the most influential, but change different event where an increase in the weights of the spleen and kidney, while not urging a change in the weights of the heart, liver, where he was eating better improvement in 10% of the tomato powder pomace.
8. It noted that when dealing with old female rats 12 ml of tomato juice there is a change in the internal organs weights as compared to the negative control group.
9. It found that 10% of the tomato pomace helped to reduce total fat and total cholesterol and TG in old female rats groups compared with the control group positive.
10. A reduction in total cholesterol and triglycerides and total fat when old female rats intake 12 ml of tomato juice.
11. It observed a marked decrease in the level of low-density total cholesterol as well as a rise in the level of high density in older female rats that intake tomato juice 12 ml total cholesterol.
12. The best to improve the levels of total cholesterol and low-density to high density was observed when dealing with old female rats in their diet 10% o tomato pomace.
13. It was observed that the best improvement in the level of HTR and LHR when feeding elderly female rats by 10% of the tomato pomace for 28 days in a row.

SUMMARY
14. It observed that the rate of 12 ml tomato juice brought about an improvement in the level of HTR and LHR in old female rats.
15. An improvement in indicators of atherosclerosis in 10% of the tomato pomace compared with the control group positive.
16. It observed improvement in atherosclerosis indicators when dealing with old female rats 12 ml tomato juice.
17. The level of GSH, CAT and SOD in groups that dealt with 10% tomato pomace higher but the average value of MAD 10% tomato pomace was less.
18. Increased level of GSH, CAT and SOD in the totals for old female rats that intake 12 ml of tomato juice on the level of MDA was less.
19. An improvement in urea, creatinine and uric acid in the blood level recorded maximum decline at 10% of the tomato pomace.
20. It observed that change in kidney function levels found in old female group when intake with 12 ml tomato juice.
21. Level of liver enzymes decreased GPT, GOT & ALP result in liver cells eating a meal containing 10% of the remnants of tomato pomace.
22. There is a change in liver function levels when dealing with old female rats intake.
