Abstract

This study was conducted, using split mouth research design, to compare clinically & radiographically between immediately and delayed -loaded endosseous implants supporting mandibular overdentures with locator attachment.
The comparison including crestal bone loss ,bone density changes, gingival attachment level, and implants’ stability around each implant from the time of placement and loading and up to one year.
Ten completely edentulous patients were selected for this study. All patients were systemically free and accepted implant overdenture treatment modality.
Pre-operative computed tomography cone-beam (CBCT) was performed to exclude the presence of any pathological condition and to check the quality and quantity of the available alveolar bone at the planned implant site.
METHODS OF EVALUATION:
Clinical evaluation of gingival attachment level and implants’ mobility
Radiographic Assessment of crestal bone loss and bone density changes
CONCLUSIONS
Locator attachment provided predictable clinical success in cases of delayed and immediately loaded mandibular implant dentures.
