Abstract The present study is concerning with the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of some ciprofloxacin derivatives with antiproliferative and antibacterial activities. The thesis combines four main sections: 1- Introduction: Introduction gave a general account about quinolone derivatives and their different biological activities, in addition to a comprehensive literature survey on ciprofloxacin and other quinolone derivatives as potential leads with antibacterial and anticancer activities. 2- Scope of investigation: This section outlined the goal of this work including the synthesis, biological evaluation and molecular docking studies of some ciprofloxacin derivatives with potent antiproliferative and antibacterial activities. 3- Results and discussion: This section includes explanation of the results obtained from synthesis and biological evaluation of the target compounds. This section is subdivided into three parts: chemistry, biology and molecular docking. 4- Experimental: This section outlines the detailed explanations of different experiments used. This section is also subdivided into three parts: chemistry, biology and molecular docking. |
