Abstract

The experiments were carried out in Sharkia Governorate, Egypt (2008-2012) at (30.59◦ latitude, 31.51◦ longitude) to study impact of some transactions on the beeswax. Experiments were carried out to study the effect of some operating parameters on the performance of two extractors, Local and developed extractor during melting beeswax. The objectives of investigation are developing extractor system for beeswax, optimizing some different parameters affecting the performance of both local and developed extractors and Comparing the developed extractor with the local system. Variables of this research are systems of extractor of beeswax (2 systems) development system (direct solar energy (S), direct solar energy and electric heater (SEH), direct solar energy, electric heater and fan (SEHF)) and local system (boiling sort), used temperature degrees (50, 60, 70 and 80 ºC), inclined angle of glass cover for solar wax extractor and inclined angle metallic base (7.5, 15.5 and 23º) and thickness of wax layer during extraction (5, 10, 15 and 20 mm). The experimental results reveal that, the best extractor is (SEH), which the highest production rate were (49.02, 892.61 and 279.24 g/h) while the efficiency were 6.79 %, 49.07% and 72.53% for three extraction systems S, SEH and SEHF respectively. The inclination angle of the solar collector is 23º, at 80ºC and 20mm thick of beeswax layer.
