Abstract I Abstract This thesis is concerned with the control and applications of multi-phase matrix converters. The multi-phase matrix converter (MC) has a direct, powerful topology to connect m-phase circuit to n-phase circuit. It is able to convert ac-voltage into ac-voltage with different amplitude and frequency for different number of phases. Besides the multi-phase output generated, this converter offers some distinct advantages compared to the other multi-phase converters. However, the complexity of modulation and control techniques and experimental realization are increased. |
