Abstract
This thesis is devoted to recognize and compare effects of TEL and ALS on metabolic abnormalities and inflammatory status that account for the development of NAFLD.Additionally, to evaluate whether the combination of telmisartan or aliskiren with the antioxidant morin could improve this condition.Our results suggest that treatment with telmisartan or aliskirenand binary combination withmorinmay have pro-tective effects against NAFLD –induced by high fructose diet presumably via decreasing TGF-β, NF-kB- TNF-a expression and reducing oxidative stress and inflammation. In addition, this study suggest a rationale of the simultaneous treatment of morin with either elmisartan or aliskirenproduced an additional and a beneficial protective response compared to the single therapy.
