Abstract
The investigated area, El Negela area is a semi-desert, sparsely populated area which is part of the north-western Mediterranean coast of Egypt, located approximately 70
km to the west of Matrouh city. It lies between longitudes 26°29’36.61” and 26°38’52.82”east and latitudes 31°29’17.83” and 31°28’56.04” north. The area is located in the coastal
Part of Matrouh Governorate, which occupies the north-western portion of Egypt. The Governorate is one of the largest in Egypt, with an area of 212,000 km representing 22% of
the area of the whole country. El Negela area is about 100 km2.
