Abstract
This thesis includes three chapters The first one covers the literature concerning the Michael addition to activated olefinic compounds.The second chapter is divided into two parts The first part of which describes the methods of preparation of the starting materials, namely 1-phenyl-3--(-substituted phenyl) propenones 1a-f and 3-pheyl-1-(—substituted phenyl) propenones 2-X-H4C6CH = CHCOC6H4-Y-R la-k H, X = H; b) Y = H, X = 0130; c) Y = H, X = Cl3 H, X — Br; e) Y = H, X = Cl f) Y = H, X = NO2 H, Y C1130; h) X = H, Y = 013; i) X H, Y = BrH, Y=Cl; k) )C=H, Y NO2.This part includes also the mono-adducts obtained from the reaction of with ethylcyanoacetate in the presence of sodium ethoxide (ratio 1:40:30, respectively) namely:ethyl-2_cyano--5—oxo-5-phenyl-3-(11-substituted phenyl).
