Abstract
In most researches pn cottonseed and cottonseed products the yellow pigment fgossypol has required considerable attention it creats many problems in processing the seed because it lowers the quality of the meal used for animal feeding and is responsible for color reversion when extracted with the oils for theses reasons intensive researches have been conducted on the properties and reactions of gossypol gossypol is occurring so far as known only in genus gossypium order malvaceae the name gossypol was derived from gossip jim-phen ol to indicate its origin and the chemical nature it exists mainly in the seed kernel inside pigment glands.
