Abstract
The thesis comprises three chapters. The first one includes a literature survey on the coordination behaviour of azo and barbituric acid compounds. The aim of investigation and the statement of the problem are included in this chapter. The second chapter of the thesis is concemed with the expe- rimental work. The preparation of barbituric and thiobarbituric acid canplexes, seven azo baxbituric acid compounds containing ortho functional groups with different electronic properties and the preparation of the azo complexes are described.
