Abstract
The last two decades are characterized by appearance and applicetion of biologically versatile compounds, of metel chelates end complexes, which have bactericidal ( Chaturvedi and Kaushal, 1975)”, fungicidal (Horsfall, 1945)? end antiviral ( Dwyer and ilellor, 1964 3 activi- ties. Some metal chelates are known to inhibit tunor growth ( Duyer et al., 1965 )* end During treatment of cancer with thiosenicarbazones it has been shown that the active species is not the thiosemicarbazone itself but its metel chelates ( Crim end Petering, 1967, and; Petering and Van- Giessen, 1966 %
