Abstract
Abu Qir Bay is آ« shallow semi-circular basin, located at about 35 Km east of Alexandria. The bay has a shoreline of abut 50 Km, bordered on the west by Abu Qir peninsula and on the east by Rosetta Nile Branch (Fig, I-1). The area of the bay is more than 360 square Kilometers with a maximum depth of abut 16 meters, and the average depth is about 10 meters
