Abstract
This thesis includes three main chapters; the first of which is a general review for the synthesis of nitrogen heterocycles from saccharide derivatives. The second chapter describes the work carried out by the candidate, the candidate prepared 3 benzoy 1-5(D-arabino-tetra-hydroxybuty1)-2-methylpyrrole(I) ; by the reaction of D-glucoseamine hydrochloride with 1- pheny1,3 butanedione (benzoylacetone).
