المستخلص
The basic problematic, from which this research started, is an attempt to answer the following questions:
1. What are the other main trends of Ayad except critical rooting (which previous studies have focused upon for Ayad)?
2. How could Ayad studies contribute in solving problems of literary criticism (such as the problematic of critical discourse, multiplicity of the critical terms and the crisis of the Arab criticism)?
3. What are the most important bases of critical discourse of Ayad, and stylistic features that characterized his writings?
The research adopted a descriptive analytical Method and Inductive Method to clarify and analyze the trends of critical thinking of Ayad through his critical writings. This has been done through three phases:
Firstly, presentation and analysis of the critical issues that Ayad faced, those issues are not needed to an effort to be extracted from his writings, but they need to a detailed analysis.
Secondly, the research worked on the extraction and composition of topics from Ayad¢s critical ideas, scattering in all his writings, and collecting them in specific attitudes to be analyzed.
Thirdly, blending of the two previous phases to put a specific view for Ayad¢s critical trends in shed of modern Arab criticism.
The research concluded that:
• The multiplicity of his critical trends (historical- social- psychological - philosophical- Linguistic) reveals the diversity of his critical thought and the evolution of his ideas. His critical thought was characterized by an ongoing research case. So, by the research it has been cleared that there were many aspects of his critical discourse and characterized by creativity.
• The philosophical trend is one of the main pillars of critical thought of Ayad as an approach for his critical Studies especially, for the vision of the critical Arab theory.
• One of the most important his trends of critical thinking: (Institutional, renewal, comprehensive, trial and scientific).
