Abstract

Theses subject:” n and it’s uses in ancient Egyptian text ”
It is one of the signs that had a high position in the ancient Egyptian
language, as reported in all sources clearly in the three main religious
sources of pyramid text of the Old Kingdom and coffin text of the
Middle Kingdom and The book of dead of the new kingdom in addition
to the religious and secular texts in the Late Period.
The theses include linguistic study of the sign n with display
formats taken in terms of the number or type that, the formers taken
during the ancient Egyptian texts, development suffered by the sign n
during the stages of the ancient Egyptian language, the use of the sign n
, forms and alternatives in ancient Egyptian texts and collect it all in
one study offer academically and prone to show the richness and value of
the ancient Egyptian language.
The study was divided into two chapters, then the conclusion would have
been reached from the results.
first chapter deals with the meaning of the sign n graphically and
phonetically since prehistoric times until the end of the Greco-Roman
period and the direction of writing the sign and the cases of writing
different alternatives (forms) and their role in literature underemployment
and excess collections written, then linguistic and grammatical cases
taken sign n that any case of Deuteronomy and the combination of
the sing and increased about it and uses all of them.
Chapter II deals with the sign n in greeting and welcoming, which had
a big role, and then display nini signal of which had its
religious and secular uses depending on the context that they come in a
detailed presentation where the sign n and evolution appear
throughout the ages and shows a prominent role in determining the status
of providers salute and recipients then offer a range of greeting terms
received by sign n .
