Abstract

The aim of the work The study aims to evaluate the prevalence of sub-clinical hypothyroidism among infertile females attending the outpatient clinics of Minia Maternity University Hospital during period between Marchs 2013 and Marchs 2014. Results: • Prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism was 8% of cases at the studied group. • Prevalence of hyperprolactinemia was 6% of cases at the studied group. • There was statistically significant difference (P = 0.011) in patients with SC.H of age group 20-30 years which represents 60% of cases. • There was statistically significant difference (P 0.001) in patients with S.C.H of primary type (which represents the majority of cases) 90% of cases. • There was statistically significant difference in patients with ovarian causes which represents 50% of cases (P = 0.049) and unexplained type 23% of cases (P = 0.046). • There was statistically significant difference (P< 0.001) in 30 (62.5%) of cases of S.C.H with high prolactin level.
