Abstract Rice(Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most important and leading cereal crops in the world and at present is staple food of over half of the global population. Rice is considered one of major food export crop in Egypt. The use of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) as an integral component of agricultural practice is a rechnology whose time has come. These bacteria are already being used successfully in a number of countries in the developing world and this practice is expected to grow. In the more developed world, where agricultural chemical remain relatively inexpensive, the use of PGPR occupies a small but growing niche in the development of organic agriculture. |
