Abstract

Coins in the Islamic Age are considered an essential source of historiography. In addition, it is one of the most important archeological sources of studying the political history of the States as they are considered to be official and valid documents and what they mention of writings and decorations can not be refuted or doubted. Coins corrected many of the historical information as they are like mirror that reflects and shows clearly all aspects of political, economic, social, religious, literary aspects… etc., in the state, which ordered their minting.
The research was divided into an introduction and three chapters as follows:-
The introduction dealt with the importance of coins in political terms, the reasons for choosing this topic and the most important sources and references relied upon in this research.
Chapter (1) dealt with ” The Quranic Verses with Political Significance on Islamic Coins” whether published before or that is published for the first time in this research as well as the Quranic verses that I examined through the analysis of coins and the political events they referred to. These Quranic verses arranged alphabetically as follows:
Chapter (II): ”Islamic titles of political implication to Islamic Coins” whether published before or that is published for the first time in this research. I examined also the titles and analysis of political events they referred to.
Chapter (III) studied the provocative phrases of political significance to Islamic coins ” whether published before or that is published the first time in this research.
This was followed by a conclusion which showed all what was dealt with in the research of information and new findings reached, such as:
