Abstract
The study area is part of the surface water of the River Nile and related Canals in Assiut City bounded by Latitudes 27 10 and 27 13 N and longitudes 31 10 and 31 13 E . The Nile passed through five main episodes . each of these episodes is characterized by a master river system . these five rivers are termed the Eonile , Paleonile, Protonile ,Prenile and Neonile( Said,1981).
