Abstract The aim of this thesis is to examine the interaction of ultrasound wave and microbubbles and evaluate the subharmonic and second harmonic signals from individual microbubbles as well as microbubbles packets. Chapter 3 represents model developed to include the voltage response in the electrical network connected to the piezoelectric element. Also, in this chapter, simulation of discrete time model of the impulse response of matched and backed piezoelectric transducer is used to design high sensitivity, broad bandwidth, and short-duration impulse response transducers. Chapter 4 is presented a simulation of the signal pathway in a simple pulse-echo system operating in a fluid contains number of microbubbles. The main focus is on a windowing technique applied for reconstructing absolute amplitudes out of the frequency domain. Finally, chapter 5 summarizes the conclusion of this work and points forward to the area of further work as seen from the view point of this thesis. |
