Abstract The present investigation was designed to evaluate the effect of administration of enrofloxacin, oxytetracycline and garlic on some biochemical parameters in the serum of female albino rats. Histopathological alteration in liver and kidney were also examined. The present study was carried out on totally of 115 females healthy rats, 2 months old and had an average weight of 150-200 gm. They were reared under the same environmental and nutritional conditions at separated clean cages. They were also kept under observation for 15 days before the experiment. They were divided into 4 groups: Group 1: Included 30 rats, which were injected intramuscular with 0.5 ml (30mg/kg b.wt/day) oxytetracycline for five successive days. The rats of this group was subdivided into 3 subgroups: Group1a: included 10 rats, after 3 days from the beginning of the course of injection blood samples were collected from the median canthus of the eye after that they were sacrificed in order to take liver and kidney for histopatological examination. Group1b: included 10 rats, after 10 days from the beginning of the course of injection blood samples |
